ARB Rewards

How can I earn $ARB rewards?

There are several ways for users to earn ARB rewards during this campaign. The rewards are bucketed into three main activities: Hold, LP, and Leverage.

Hold:

Simply bridge to or purchase on Arbitrum to qualify. All holders of hyETH, DPI, and MVI on Arbitrum will accrue daily rewards, which will be distributed on a pro-rata basis.

  • hyETH: 500 ARB / day
  • DPI: 100 ARB / day
  • MVI: 100 ARB / day

LP:

Provide liquidity in the specified pools below to qualify. All liquidity providers will accrue daily ARB rewards, which will be distributed on a pro-rata basis.

Leverage:

A sizable portion of the total ARB rewards are directed towards use of The Index Coop Leverage Suite. Holders of any our 2x or 3x tokens on Arbitrum will accrue daily ARB rewards, which will be distributed on a pro-rata basis.

  • 3x Tokens: 250 / day
  • 2x Tokens: 250 / day
What do I need to do to earn rewards for “holding” one of the incentivized tokens?

Nothing! Once you bridge or purchase DPI, MVI, or hyETH or purchase one of our leverage tokens on Arbitrum and it is reflected in your wallet, rewards will accrue based on your wallet balance. No additional action is required.

Where can I bridge?

You can use the Chainlink Transporter app which acts as a front-end for the CCIP bridge. Here are direct Transporter links for bridging:

The typical settlement time for a CCIP transaction is roughly 20 minutes. Before bridging, the Transporter app will display “Time to destination” for a given transfer; the example below for bridging DPI from Ethereum to Arbitrum is estimated to take 20 minutes and 19 seconds.

Where can I buy?

Users can now buy and sell the following products on Arbitrum via the Index Coop App:

Alternatively, users can use CoW Swap on Arbitrum.

How can I track and claim my rewards?

Rewards are being processed through Merkl, a protocol used for tracking and claiming rewards in real-time within blockchain ecosystems. It allows users to monitor their accrued rewards and claim them as they accumulate, rather than waiting for a specified distribution period.

Users can get an overview of all current Index Coop incentive opportunities, APRs, and track and claim their rewards on Merkl via this dedicated dashboard.

I have been participating in the previous ARB rewards. How does this new phase affect me?

July 23rd marks the rollout of Phase 2 of our ARB Incentive Program. Over the next six weeks, ~118,000 ARB will be distributed as part of Phase 2. Below are the key differences between Phase 1 and 2 and the significance for participants in Phase 1.

More Opportunities to Earn Rewards

Phase 2 increases the rewards for various new qualifying activities, including liquidity provision and the addition of hyETH to the incentivized token roster. Find more details on all qualifying activities in the FAQ answer: 'How can I earn $ARB rewards?'

Expanded Eligibility to All Arbitrum Holders

Previously, only users who had bridged DPI or MVI from Mainnet to Arbitrum qualified for ARB rewards, excluding those who bought or sold DPI or MVI on the Arbitrum secondary market. In Phase 2, this bridging requirement has been removed, expanding eligibility to all holders of the qualifying products. This means that in Phase 2, it doesn't matter how a user acquires DPI, MVI, or hyETH; if one of these products is held on Arbitrum during the incentive period, the holding wallet qualifies.

Adjustments to DPI / MVI Rewards

The ARB allocation to holders of DPI and MVI has been adjusted to 100 ARB per day for each token. Additionally, both DPI and MVI now have LP reward opportunities, offering 150 ARB per day per pool.

Easier Tracking and Claiming through Merkl

In the previous phase, users tracked their rewards through a dedicated Dune Dashboard and were instructed to claim their rewards in a lump sum at the end of the incentive period.

Beginning with Phase 2, users can track and claim their accrued rewards in real time via Merkl. Users who participated in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 can claim their Phase 2 rewards in real time, but will still need to wait until the end of the incentive period in the first week of September to claim their Phase 1 rewards.

CCIP

What is CCIP?

CCIP, or the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, is a bridging service that provides a simple interface for transferring data, tokens, or both across chains. You can find a wealth of information about CCIP here in the official documentation.

What Index Coop products are enabled with CCIP?

Currently, DPI, MVI, hyETH, and dsETH are enabled by Chainlink CCIP. Bridging between Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base is currently supported for each of the tokens. The official token addresses are:

*Base chain and dsETH not included in ARB incentives

Are the index tokens on Arbitrum the same as the tokens on Ethereum?

Yes, Index Coop tokens on Arbitrum represent the official versions of the products on Arbitrum. Holders of Index Coop products (DPI, MVI, hyETH, and dsETH) on Arbitrum may redeem their tokens for the underlying components after bridging back to mainnet (where the collateral “lives” in the original token contracts). Please note that the bridged token addresses are not identical to the token addresses on Ethereum mainnet.

In the case of The Leverage Suite, each network hosts distinct token contracts and leverage tokens should not be bridged as they will not be compatible with the alternate instances of the Leverage Interface. To transition your leverage holdings from Mainnet to Arbitrum, you must first sell or redeem your Mainnet leverage tokens, transfer your capital to Arbitrum, and then purchase the corresponding tokens on Arbitrum.

Can I bridge anywhere besides Arbitrum?

The current CCIP implementation also supports bridging to and from Base from Arbitrum or Ethereum mainnet. There are no incentives currently for activity on Base. That said, product holders who want to bridge to Base can do so via the Chainlink Transporter app.
